Hello. Some of you may know I started doing a stall a few weeks ago in Brick Lane and Greenwich Market. Loving having to get up at 7am every Sat & Sun to stagger down the market with my wares..coffee in one hand, market clips in the other, watching people stare at my stuff all day hoping that they cough up some cash. No its been great, I'm loving it..and is so good to see people smile and laugh at the different heart pictures.
This Saturday though something quite unexpected happened. I arrived at Greenwich blurry eyed to set up my stall in the stormy wind & rain wishing I had just stayed in bed, (nothing new there), but early afternoon my mum came to pay a surprise visit, nice. So we sat there chatting amongst the lovely red boudoir of the big love stall when suddenly crash bang wallop! The stall shuddered and I shouted 'get out mum!'. We ran out to find an enormous piece of wood had flown through the roof and landed right next to my stall. Luckily noone was hurt, but what a shock. In fact i might have to go and have a fag now to calm my nerves just thinking about it.
Sat 14 Nov
around 3pm
a huge piece of
wood flew off
a nearby building
crashing through
the roof and hit
the stall next door
denting the metal
bars. See my stall
the red one and
hole above.
The market had
to be evacuated.
The thing that fell through!
